Welcome to The DaVinci Code cache!
This cache was inspired by the best-selling novel,
The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown.
Although you won't need to read the book to do the cache,
it will help. If I have done my job right, hopefully this cache
will be difficult. I employ the use of riddles, anagrams, codes,
hidden clues, etc. just like in the book. I hope you try to figure out the
answers on your own. It should be a good challenge. If you get
stuck however, feel free to email me and ask me for a clue. This is a multi-cache with
four
legs. All of the legs are in Utah County and fairly close to each
other. However, you will need internet access between two of the legs. The Provo city library at 550 N University has internet
access for $1.00 for 90 min. They are open M-F, 9a-9p and S, 9a-6p. Springville public library at 50 S Main, also has internet access.
They have free out of town (no library card required) access. Their hours are M-Th, 10a-9p; F, 10a-6p and S, 10a-4p. In addition,
Borders at 4801 N University in Provo has an 802.11b wireless hotspot.
The original contents of the cache are:

The Clues: You are an
expert at solving puzzles and finding clues. For this reason,
Inspector G.O. Cache of the Provo City Police Department has called you to
the scene of a bizarre murder. The body of the victim was arranged in
the same position as a figure on a nearby relief sculpture. In
addition, there was some cryptic writing on the ground near the body.
This writing was not visible to the naked eye, it could only be seen under a
black light. The writing was as follows: wood kit looms
a=40.24697-111.65128 b=40.24812-111.64910 a drencher
stores
PS - On the path from knowledge to wisdom, lies a
point where wisdom is rooted in deed. It appears the victim positioned himself and left these clues before
he died! |
