Duck Island Travel Bug Shelter Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ynots4: I came back today with the intention of replacing this cache, but between all the lovely bee-covered flowering shrubs and the numberous homeless encampments, there is no safe hiding spot. I will miss my regular duck visits. Will notify the 4 travelbug owners to grab their bugs off this page. - Chickasaw

Geocache Description:

This cache was placed as a request from our daughter, TreeLeaf, who noticed we had no real Travel Bug drops in Santa Cruz county. So we have started this one with 5 travel bugs and a few small trade items for those not interested in travel bugs. It is located in a very busy park in a convenient location for a lunch break. We raised the difficulty level because it may be easy to find, but getting it may be another story. Good Luck!

RULES OF THIS CACHE:

1. Take a travel bug ONLY IF you can help it with it's mission and will log it's movements online while you have it.
2. For every travel bug grabbed, leave a travel bug in it's place so there are always at least 4 travel bugs left in the cache.
3. Trade or drop off as many travel bugs as you like, at any time, and visit as often as you want. You may log this cache as a find only on the first visit, but sign the logbook each time please.
4. Rehide the cache exactly where found. You are looking for a 2 quart plastic green container which requires a sharp eye and stealth for grabbing and rehiding. Waiting for people to move may be required. Meanwhile, bring a snack for yourself or the ducks and enjoy your visit in this serene, yet cosmopolitan park.

RULES OF PARK: Open sunrise to sunset, observe parking signs and duck feeding signs, no dogs, no alcohol. Bikes are okay on paths.

CONGRATULATIONS to G A-DayTrippers, first to find on April 26, 2004! We hope you all enjoy your visit here!
