Geocache Description:

A short walk through Wain Wood in the village of Preston, near Hitchin Herts.

The above co-ordinates are for Templars Lane, where you can park.
From here go to the main road and turn right for a short walk which takes you to the footpath on your left at...

N51 54 673 W000 17 288.
This is the kissing gate you need to go through. On the wooden post is a picture of a Stag with B words underneath it. Once you have this go on to,

N51 54 775 W000 17 283

Pucker up, another kissing gate! Look hard for Howe Fencing's phone number, it is 019F0 C220EA
(Unfortunately the kissing gate is now a 'missing gate' so here's the phone number 01920 822055)

Now enjoy the walk through the woods. In late April you will be greeted by a carpet of Bluebells. You need to find Bunyans Cottage almost at the end of the wood at

N51 54 940 W000 16 978It is private land, but if you were to go in here there is a "Danger of small Dogs"! The max speed is H Miles per hour according to THIS sign.

Now you have all the clues to take you to the cache which is located at N 51 AB C(E-B)A W000 17 F(B+F)H

It is a 1.5l Tupperware style box hidden a short distance from the footpath. Please be careful when locating it as you are in full view. As the location is quite open please make sure you replace it well hidden!

On your way home you could enjoy refreshments at The Red Lion Pub, which has the distinction of being owned by the Villagers. It is also a great real ale pub and was awarded the bronze medal in the Morning Advertiser Cask Ale Pub of the year competition.
