Geocache Description:

This is a public access, mountain biking and hiking are common activities here. Uneven trail type terrain.

This is a local landmark that many here do not know exists.You will know you are there when you find the year of the event that the cache is named for. When you discover that, you are within about 40' of the cache. A little hunting around the area should reveal it. Please cover it up as well as you can as this area will from time to time see quite a bit of traffic. Also in the log bag there is a story I recovered from local archives written about a century later regarding the events. You can park at N 44.48.759 W 073.03.910. There is a gate here so please don't block it as they may have a sports event and need access. You can however walk from there. If familiar with the area there are other points of access.The cache was set out pretty full of goodies. There is a disposable camera, so take a picture and leave the camera for the next group.
