Geocache Description:

According to some local fisherman, the woods of the Lost Creek area are haunted to this very day. In my investigations I came upon the ruins of an old house and what looks like an old store house. When I questioned some of the locals in the area I discovered a very frightening story. About 100 years ago a family lived in the old house. The father worked the old mines and the mother was a very sickly woman. They had two sons. The father was killed in the mines and it wasn't long after the mother died due to a severe illness, leaving behind Johny and his older brother. The two brothers survived for some time by fishing the creek and hunting in the woods. The older brother was the main provider as he looked after his younger brother Johny. The two brothers were very close and they enjoyed collecting and playing marbles together. In 1902 there was a very hard winter. Food was scarce, Johny became ill and sad to say he died. His older brother made a grave for his brother out behind the house where they used to play marbles together. The grave has Johny's name upon it and to this day he is the only one of the family in which we know a name. The older brother (Here is where things get scary) swore he would always look after his younger brother and some say he still haunts these very woods today protecting his brothers grave. The locals tell me that if you are in this area you had better bring some marbles to leave at the grave. According to legend, if you do not leave marbles when you visit Johny's grave you too will have the same misfortune as little Johny Marble. I have personally visited this grave and let me tell ya it is definately a thrill. The woods are definately haunted and you can hear the moans and groans of this very old forrest. According to the locals the best time to visit this grave is at night because it is believed that the older brother is sleeping. So I have marked a trail with reflective tacks and tape to mark a safe trail for your visit. Oh yeah, if you want my advice be as quiet as possible not to wake the sleeping brother.

You will need to bring a bright flashlight for this cache. The coordinates above is for a place to park and you will be able to see the red reflective tape marking the trail. I hide a cache with some extra marbles and a log book/pencil. I do hope your visit will be as thrilling as mine. Good Luck and Enjoy the Hunt.
