The Citizen Soldier
and Puddin
Swamp
This is a multi-stage virtual cache which, when combined
with others about Francis Marion (the Swampfox) will
complete the mural series in Clarendon
County. A word of warning is important first. The final stage of this cache is about 20
miles north of the starting point. This
is an excellent cache to do if you are traveling north on I-95, but it would
not be good if you are traveling south (since you would have to
backtrack).
The first stage is an excellent mural showing Francis Marion
visiting citizen soldiers. Dedicated to
our reservists and national guardsmen, this mural is a nice reminder of how
important a role our citizen soldiers have always played. While viewing this mural, you have to solve
the questions to get the information needed to find the final mural. It is not easy to find so these coordinates
should help you. The final mural is once
again devoted to the citizen soldiers in the Puddin Swamp area.
You will need to count the number of the things listed below
as shown in the mural and write that number next to the letter. Then take the numbers and switch them for the
letters in the coordinate equation. Note
that the answer to some question might be none since 0 is a number too. Only clearly obvious things are counted so
don’t struggle or strain to find hidden things or such. It should be fairly obvious.
