This is my 2nd cache dedicated to the Alethiometrist geocaching team of Raleigh NC. The first was dedicated to my cousin Amelia who does not like bushwhacking. My uncle Ken however really likes puzzle caches. I find most of these caches confusing but recently when I was looking up caches in North Carolina I saw a good idea for a puzzle cache. This cache is similar to that one.
Follow these clues carefully and you will be able to find the cache. These coordinates are not correct. They are my home coords and the cache is 1.21 miles away. That is your first hint. There are 2 parts in solving this puzzle. I will describe 5 nearby caches, and you will need to match the local Sumter cache with the description of its name.Cache A: The city of Sumter's only multi-cache.Cache B: Named for the park that has more baseball fields and tennis courts than any other place in the Sumter area.Cache C: No longer exists, forget about it.Cache D: Another possible name for this cache could be The Wetlands.Cache E: Named after a story. Now for the hard part: You now need to figure out the cache location based on how far away those caches are from the location of this cache. Use the coordinates of these caches if you need to and if possible a computer map program.Cache A is 1.7 miles from this cache.Cache B is 1.16 miles from this cache. Cache C is exactly 1 mile from this cache.Cache D is 0.61 miles from this cache.Cache E is 0.29 miles from this cache.The cache is located in one of Sumter's best known parks which...here is another hint...the same park as Cache E (but in a different part of the park). The cache is a standard Rubermaid container. Please make sure you hide it as you found it.
