Cache is placed within the grounds of Antrim Castle. The Castle was erected between 1610 and 1666. It was destroyed by fire on the 28th October 1922. All that remains of the castle today is a slightly raised grass platform and a free standing tower which was built in 1887. The grounds and the gardens are well maintained with pleasant walks through the surrounding parkland past ponds and other places of interest. The cache is a black cylindrical container, placed on a fence at the Parterre (magnets are involved), you do not have to enter the Parterre to retrieve this cache. Cache contains a log only, no pen or pencil so please bring your own to sign the log.
