This cache is in a nice little picnic area, tables and a small parking area. The difficulty is a 2 because when you are within 50 ft or less of the cache the trees may interfer with your GPS. The cache is not in the river. Park in the parking area not on the highway. This is a good place to take a break between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe. Note: there are no trash cans in this area.
The cache is a peanut butter jar painted to match the terrain. When placed it contained a pen, log, cache note, toy train, stuffed pelican, and a dalmation dog.
