The cache is located in an urban environment and is easily
accessible for people visiting by boat, car, bike or on foot (the
cache is probably not accessible for people in wheelchairs).
Sortland is in the Vesterålen area, along the main route to the
Lofoten islands.
The cache is in Sortland's town centre, but you will usually not
be bothered by muggles. The cache should be possible to find all
year round, but it should not be attempted alone in the dark or if
there is nasty winds.
The initial tradeable items of the cache were a bunch of sea
creatures, including TB Nautilus. The cache also contains a
logbook, a pencil and an information sheet - these should stay in
the cache!
The cache is a glass jar wrapped in a cloth sack. Travel bugs
considering a stay in this cache should note that the circular door
has a maximum diameter of 85 mm (3 inches).
The cache is situated in an area where it will occasionally be
exposed to seawater. When leaving the cache, please close the lid
firmly and replace the cache in a secure manner. Please do not
remove the dessicant bags in the cache, they are there to remove
any moisture.
