Geocache Description:

An obvious stop on the Blue Ridge Parkway

I am not usually a fan of virtuals, but this was too good (and ironic) to pass up. Three days ago I was driving up the Blue Ridge Parkway after taking my Mom along on a cache hunt. As we drove along the parkway, I inquired as to why all these fences are up on top of the mountains. Little did I know that I would get my answer while I was attempting to hide a regular cache in the area. First and foremost, enjoy the view of the Valley ... that is why I brought you here. Then, to claim this cache, email me the following information about those darn fences:

1. What is the nickname of these structures?
2. Who originally maintained these structures?
3. What are the two foods eaten by the animals these fences were built to contain?
4. How long will it take you to complete the nearby geology trail?

All this information is spelled out very nicely for you at the site. After finding the answers, take some time to enjoy the trail and learn a little about the Blue Ridge Mountains. Since you are in the area, you might as well take a stab at my regular cache, "Lava Loft - The 2nd Eruption".

HAPPY HUNTING !!!
