Geocache Description:

Near a decent fishing spot along the oriskany creek nearby the village of Clinton.

This is a quasi-theme-cache, the theme is VHS tapes, but, you can trade whatever you want. You don't have to leave a tape to take a tape -- I will be back to restock! I call it the "VHS Boneyard" as all the movies I started with are pretty old, they've come here to take a vacation, they've been neglected after being pushed behind DVDs. The tapes are in the original (although worn) jackets, and there's also a few non-vhs trade items (a rubber snake, and some GPSr food [batteries]). The cache is in a clear rubbermaid container with a little bit of weather stripping to keep it dry, and has the cache name, and my email address on 3 sides.Despite the name "VHS Boneyard" the cache is not in a graveyard... It's along the Oriskany Creek. There's about 8 miles of trail along the Oriskany Creek from Kirkland south to Deansboro... The DEC stocks the creek with brown trout, and it is marked as being an area for stocking trout of 14+ inches, so bring a pole!I rated the terrain a 3.5 because it's hard to follow the trails, you've got to eyeball them -- there's no blazes. There's a lot of ducking and jumping, and it'll only get worse in the summer with more and more vegetation. The walk though, isn't very far.You can park the in St. Elizabeth's medical office at N43 02.880 W075 23.485, there is a "park at your own risk" sign, but, I think it's just a disclaimer, as this is a very common place for fisherman to park. You can also park anywhere along College St.
