This cache is in the Sun River Canyon area, west of Augusta, Montana.
From Augusta, MT...drive towards Sun River Canyon, Gibson Dam...When you get to N47 36.378 W112 45.184 look for the "river crossing" to the North. Cross the water here. JUST across the crossing, to the down-river side of the "trail" is a SMALL parking area right along the "trail". Park here.There is a walking trail heading "the direction that the water flows". Follow the trail...at about 80 PACES, look to your left and enjoy the "paintings" left by the "ancients". There are some information plaques here also.Continue down the trail, as the waters flow and enjoy the short hike...
