This roadside micro, a participant in the Hub City Fun Series, is located roughly between two speed venues- Mason-Dixon Dragway and a family recreational center whose attractions include a go-cart track.
Both venues sit at the foot of South Mountain, overshadowed by Greenbrier State Park, the Appalachian Trail and Black & Annapolis Rock overlooks. These locations feature a number of exiting caches, which include lots of hiking, great scenery and exercise for the cranial cortex.
The dragway is active during good weather-spring, summer and fall. Motorheads from all over the tri-state area gather here, all lusting for the fastest quarter-mile.
The recreation center is open full-time when public schools dismiss for the summer. In addition to the go-carts and boats, the center features two 18-hole, nicely appointed miniature golf courses, a driving range, baseball/softball batting cages, sand pit volleyball, miniature train, water wars, picnic areas, playground and snack bar.
The cache contains only a log sheet. Bring along a pen or pencil. The cache is a small waterproof plastic vial. It has been painted the color of manure to blend into the environment in which it rests. The cache is well-removed from the roadway
