Chuck Walla: Greetings from Geocaching.com!

Since you have not responded to my reviewer log about your cache, the cache has been archived.

Some time ago, I posted a note to your cache page requesting a response from you to post what you were planning to do with the cache on the page and to send me a note. I have no record of a response, and no response tells me that you are not planning on replacing or repairing this cache. If I am wrong with that assumption, please let me know promptly. I can always unarchive the cache for you if needed.

Sincerely,

Geocache Description:

This "Gem of a Cache" has a gem of a view of the Arkansas River and is located in Emerald Park (near Pulaski Tech College).

Emerald Park is one of many parks maintained by the North Little Rock Parks & Recreation Department. A paved trail will take you to a couple of great overlooks and a walking/biking trail will take you down toward the base of the cliffs where it joins the Arkansas River Trail. Once you reach the Arkansas River Trail, turning left will take you towards the base of the cliffs and downtown North Little Rock or turning right will take you towards Burns Park and the Big Dam Bridge.

The cache is an ammo can containing log book and various other items. The cache was originally placed a short distance from here but was muggled and contents (camera, binoculars) strewn about and stolen.

This cache may have been muggled before, so be sure to rehide the cache well.

TERRAIN NOTE 1: If attempting the cache from the Emerald Park parking lot the terrain rating will be about 2.5 due to loose rocks in the area around the cache (trail is paved to within 20-30 feet of the cache) and a slight uphill walk on the way back.

TERRAIN NOTE 2: If you attempt this cache from the River Trail, you will need to use the bike/hiking trail located between the cliffs and Burns Park. The terrain will rate about a 3.5 due to the long uphill walk.

Cache Note: This cache was originally placed by stephandtodd (original description can be found in the logs dated 04-21-2007).
