pilot8766: Well, after 9.5 years it seems this cache has gone missing. I've gotten lots of good comments. Fortunately most seemed to have enjoyed the cache and the town. Thanks for playing.

Geocache Description:

This is an Aerial Map Multi Cache. The final Cache is a normal cache (3in dia x 5in). The total distance is 1.1 miles. It should take 45-60 minutes to complete and should not require the use of a GPS (just like WR) until the final cache location and possibly parking. If done on a bike, it should take at least 10 minutes. It is wheelchair accessable and kid friendly, although possibly not kid interesting (unless you get ice cream).

Funny Money refers to the contents of the cache. Please keep trade items to the theme of the cache and Travel Bugs. Ideas for trade items are squished pennies, forigen currency, home made currency (ex. personal or monopoly), currency rarely in circulation (ex. sacaguea or wheat penny), or tokens (subway, Chuck E Cheese). This cache is not meant to cost anything, home made Funny Money is welcomed.

Please do not trade money that is normally in your pocket unless it is unique in some way (ie. Wheres George bills, State Quarters, Lousiana Purchase Nickels). Please consider all Funny Money in this cache as fake, meaning NOT REAL CURRENCY, NOT TO BE SPENT, just in case!!

The listed coordinates are to suitable parking. I highly reccommend using these and walking the whole cache. The police are extremely vigilant about ticketing illegal parking. I also highly recommend using crosswalks when needed, as you can see, the recommended green trail guides you to crosswalks. Please take the cache container at least 50 ft away to trade and sign the log, thanks!!

There are 3 parts to this cache, they are:

  • Collecting information that you must e-mail me.
  • Collecting numbers to be used to find the final cache location.
  • Locating the cache.
Using the provided map follow the green line to each red & blue spot (numbered). There are corresponding questions to be answered or numbers to be found. As you can see there are 3 listed benchmarks that can be found as well. I enjoy benchmark hunting and thought I could introduce you to it and make them easy to find.

Keep in mind that Benchmarks are usually round metal disks (4in diameter), but can also be building steeples, antennas, drill holes, and observation platforms. Of the three listed, two are building steeples and one is a true Benchmark Disk. The locations are described at the bottom.

Finding the Hiding spot seems to be the
hardest part, so read this next part well!!

If possible, please avoid the final cache location around 2 to 5pm on school days. Many kids (muggles) hang around the area during those times. Also at the final location there is a hint (see photo to right) about 1/4in across that you should find before moving anything. The hint is recessed about 3 inches, so take your time looking, it is in an obvious spot. The cache is located under leaves nearby, please recover well as the kids tend not to touch the leaves. Thanks!
You must e-mail me the answers to these questions within 2 days of your logged find.
