Geocache Description:

An urban micro near a place with an interesting past

"Mel, kiss my grits". Flo made those words a weekly fixture during the late 70s. Flo joined Vera and Alice as waitresses for the male chauvinist proprietor of Mel's Diner. Alice was a single-mother, singer wanna-be who moved to Phoenix with her son. A spin off of the movie "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore", the television series Alice ran from 1976 to 1985 (202 episodes). In the series, Mel's was a truck stop in Phoenix, AZ. So what does all this have to do with this cache?

The location of this cache is very near the diner used for the exterior shots of Mel's Diner on the series. One look at the place and you'll remember. Come visit this Phoenix "Landmark" .
