This Hot Tub is actually a large pool in the middle of a small Hot Creek in the middle of nowhere. The elevation at the pool is 6885'. Just one more of the many great Hot Tubs and pools located in the Long Valley Caldera.
This Tub is REALLY nice! It's about 12 feet wide, 20 feet long and 3-4 feet deep in places. From the parking lot you have to walk about 500 yards on a great man made wooden and rock walkway to get to the actual pool area. At the pool area, there is a large raised wooden deck where you can store all of your personal effects while you bask in the sumptuous warm water.
Keep in mind that this tub isn't private, if you're in it, you might have unwanted company sporting their Birthday Suits. So, if this is an problem, you might want to check out some other Hot Tubs in the area, or not come at prime time, because a lot of Mammoth locals come here.
One of the things I don't like about this pool is you can't see people coming from the parking lot, so you can't control or monitor your privacy at this location.

1. Please be careful when getting into the Tub because the concrete can be VERY slippery!
2. PLEASE STAY on the obvious trail and don't wander away from the Hot Tub area. If you (or your child) wanders off, they might be seriously burned by VERY HOT unprotected Geo-Thermal water in the area.
