Wer kennt sie nicht, die berühmten Detektivfiguren des letzten Jahrhunderts, "Sherlock Holmes", "Hercule Poirot", "Charlie Chan", "Miss Marple" und viele mehr. Bereits Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts legte Sir Arthur Conan Doyle mit der Figur des Sherlock Holmes die Grundlage für das Entstehen eines neuen Genres der Literatur: dem Detektivroman, welcher sich durch die logische Vorgehensweise seiner Hauptakteure auszeichnet. Sherlock Holmes fasst dies in eigenen Worten selber zusammen:
"Eliminiere alle anderen Faktoren, und das was übrig bleibt, muss die Wahrheit sein."
Interessanterweise verläuft diese Entwicklung in der Unterhaltungsliteratur parallel zur Entwicklung im Bereich der mathematischen Logik, die in der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts durch die Veröffentlichung von George Boole's "The Mathematical Analysis of Logic" eine neue Qualität erlangte und einen Aufschwung erfuhr.

Durch die Darstellung und Verbreitung in Film und Fernsehen wurde die Figur des Sherlock Holmes quasi zum Prototyp des Detektivs schlechthin, welcher sich auch im Comic wiederfindet, z.B. in der Figur des "Nick Knatterton". Markantester Charakterzug dieser prototypischen Figur -neben präzisen logischen Schlüssen- ist die Wahrnehmung von kleinsten, meist irrelevant erscheinenden Details. Markantestes Werkzeug: die Lupe, mit der selbst die kleinsten Details betrachtet werden können. Sherlock Holmes darüber:
"Ich bin froh über alle Details, egal ob sie dir relevant erscheinen oder nicht".

Lange Vorrede kurzer Sinn: Ihr könnt bei diesem Cache selber Detektiv spielen und das Vermächtnis des hinterhältigen Prof. Moriarty finden, das letzte Rätsel welches Sherlock Holmes nicht mehr lösen konnte. Leider konnte uns Sherlock Holmes nur noch die Koordinaten des Parkplatzes übermitteln und aus den Aufzeichnungen Moriarty's folgendes Rätsel (jeder Buchstabe steht für eine Ziffer):

- ihr werdet den Cache wahrscheinlich nicht im ersten Durchgang finden

- vier von fünf Micros weisen euch den Weg zum Cache
- u.U. könnte eine Lupe nützlich sein
- der kürzeste Weg vom Parkplatz über alle Stationen zum Cache hat eine Länge von ca. 2,4km Luftlinie

Already at the end of the 19th century Sir Arthur Conan Doyle layed with the figure of Sherlock Holmes the foundation for the development of a new genre: the detective story, which can be characterized by the logical proceeding of its main actor. Interestingly this development in entertainment literature runs parallel to the development in the domain of mathematical logic, which reached in the middle of the 19th century a new quality and a rise through the publication of George Boole's "The Mathematical Analysis of Logic".
By the representation and dissemination through film and television the figure of Sherlock Holmes became the prototyp of a detective, which can also be found in comics e.g. in the figure of "Nick Knatterton". Prominent characteristic of this figure -besides precise logical deductions- is the perception of smallest details, which are most often considered irrelevant by others. Prominent tool of this prototypical figure: the pocket-lens which is used to view the smallest details. Sherlock Holmes says about this:
"I am glad of all details, whether they seem to you to be relevant or not."
Let's come to the point: at this cache you can play detective for yourself and you can seek the legacy of the insidious Prof. Moriarty, the last secret which Sherlock Holmes could not solve anymore. Unfortunately, Sherlock Holmes left us only the coordinates of the parking place and from the diary of Moriarty this riddle (every character represents a digit):

- you probably will not find the cache in the first pass
- you should take your time, look out for details and proceed logically

- it is not recommended to search the cache either with baby carriage or small children
