I have heard many Cacher's mention that they would like a night
cache in the Everett area. This is a relatively easy cache, meant
to be fun for the whole family. I rated this a 2 for terrain and
difficulty, only because it is meant to be hunted at night. This is
my first night cache, if people like it I'll work on placing a more
challenging night cache.
Your mission:
Arrive at the listed coordinates shortly after dark. Make
certain that you have not been followed.
Shine your light in the direction of the trail. Look for the
reflective glint tape approximately 1in x 1in in size. You must
look high and low for this tape. When you see a glint reflection
walk to the area of the glint. Then again shine your flashlight all
around until you see another glint. Again walk to the area of the
glint and shine your light all around. Repeat this process until
you have come in contact with a tree that has 2 pieces of glint
tape Again make sure you are not being followed. Shine your light
all around and continue to follow the glint's. When you find a
glint that is about 3 in x 3in, you are at the cache location.
Search and enjoy.
You are looking for a .50cal ammo box and 1.5 in tube about 3 feet
long. PLEASE be careful with the tube as the contents are fragile.
If you bend or crack the contents you will ruin them for future
Cacher's. They are Glow Ropes/Necklaces and will be activated once
bent/cracked. When you take a necklace, make sure you also get one
of the connectors that hold the necklace together. The connectors
are in a small zip loc back in the ammo box.
The cache is also packed with fun night time toys and handy
items. I would like to try to keep the theme of the cache Night
Ordinated. Party Light, Flashy Things, Batteries, Flashlights, or
anything else that you think may be complimentary to the theme.
The park is open until 10pm, so have fun
