We are constantly visiting the Dollar Store to get stuff to take to the caches we visit and are amazed at what we can buy there for a dollar. Hence the theme of this cache. Try to amaze us and your fellow cachers with something you bought for a dollar. Don't have a Dollar store near you? There is one about 3 miles North of this cache along RT 11&15 in Enola. We started it with a packed full 2 gallon Tupperware container with things for both children and adults. It started with: Stapler, umbrella, plyers, pruners, bungee cords, sunglasses, flashlight, markers, 2 mini radios, marbles, glue gun, jump rope and Playdoh. Try to trade adult things for adult things and children's things for children's things so there will always be something for everyone.This is a fairly level path and easy for children as long as they can walk the 1+ mile distance. You'll be walking along the creek and you may want to take a fishing pole and some picnic supplies, along with bug spray. Park at the end of Front street in West Fairview (from the light along 11&15 turn in to West Fairview, go about 3 blocks to Front Street and turn right). There is a lot at the river where fishermen park. Head off under the bridge. Take the lower path to the cache. For a little variety in your hike, take the split to your left when you are about 1/2 way back to the parking lot after you find the cache. You'll end up back where you started.*There is glass hidden in the grass when you leave the path so wear sneakers and watch the children.
