Geocache Description:

A wooded location that can get muddy if it rains. If the hint is used difficulty rating reduces to 1.

If you go down in the woods today you're sure of a big surprise - A cache located at the above co-ordinates !!Friary Woods is located on the A36 Warminster road from Bath. The wood itself was heavily bombed by German aircraft during the 2nd World War and large bomb craters can still clearly be seen as you wander further through the wood. The best places to park for the cache are on a patch of wasteground on the A36 opposite the Hinton & Charterhouse turning for a 20 minute return walk or by the Inn at Freshford for a 45 minute return walk. The Inn incidently is highly recommended for a drink and meal after the cache is found. Please note, to find the cache it is not necessary to enter any of the Conservation Areas within the wood.Places of interest nearby include the picturesque villages of Freshford, Sharpstone and Iford. At Iford there is a Manor and Italian gardens to visit but they do charge a small admission fee to enter. One last thing is that the wood is widely rumoured to be haunted by an old lady who was supposedly killed there during the war. So if you do go down to the woods today, you may see more than just a Teddy Bears picnic!!

Original contents of cache :

Homer, pen, pack of cards, soap, notepad, shampoo, shower gel, hair accesories, travel toothbrush, scrunchie and memo holder.
