This is a small branch library. It is more of a museum than a library and if you have the time and it is open, it is worth a visit. There's a bench in the yard where you can sit and read a tribute quote written by Ernie. There's also a recently added small bench shaped like a turtle with some interesting stonework.
On the south end of the porch, there is a plaque with a date celebrating its status as a National Landmark. Subtract 1066 from the year on the plaque. This is the number you will need to find the second stage. The house is usually open during the day, go inside, there are many interest artifacts and newspaper articles to read.
Your next stage is to take your number and go to the main one of these in the Downtown area. You can probably figure out what to do with the number. This is a log only cache, so no toys, etc. The hours of operation of the Downtown building are M-W-T-F-S (10-6), Tuesday (10-7). Log in when you have found the cache. Take your time to write prose or poetry or anything. Remember, the "R" is important, so if you cannot find the cache, think harder.

For those unaware of the reason for adoption, here are the basics. Mouser was one of the the original cachers in New Mexico (Jan 14, 2001). His caches are a mix of history, humor and physical challenge. He was a great guy and will always symbolize the best of caching. On Jan 14,2007, he lost a lengthy and hard-fought battle with cancer. We have, as a geo-community, chosen to keep his caches intact and alive. Enjoy this cache and you will have your own Mouser moment. He would have enjoyed meeting you.
Some cachers have claimed this as a find without doing the second stage and signing the log. Shame on you but as Mouser did not delete their logs, I'm leaving them intact. Incomplete finds claimed on my watch will be deleted. In the parking structure at the SE corner of 5th and Copper, you can park free for 2 hours . Take your ticket to the main desk and the library staff will validate it. The cache will only take a few minutes and you can use the rest of your parking time for other nearby caches.
