As with Landfill Overview #1, don’t let the name of this cache bother you – it is a very nice hike, and you don’t really need to go anywhere near the landfill. You will have a good view of the landfill from the trail.
We started from the top of Lilac Lane in Brea-Olinda, going through the north section of Chino Hills State Park, but there are other ways to get there. The round-trip trail distance (GPS track) is about 4 miles, with about 850 feet one-way net climb / descent.
Cache replaced after the fires of December 2008. The fire was so hot, the Ammo can was severely melted and warped. Wow!
Coordinates updated, well averaged. There IS NO serious bushwhacking, at this time. You might like to know what a "Schinus Molle" is. Do not try to come direct from any other cache. There are trails, please use them
The container is a cammo'd cylinder, about 6" X 1".
