Geocache Description:

Good place to bring the kids for an educational experience.

Learn some of the history of the Lynnwood/Alderwood Manor area at Heritage Park. The park features:

The renovated Wickers Building, built in 1919 and operated as the first mercantile and post office in Alderwood Manor along the Interurban Rail Line. Interurban Trolley Car 55, an original interurban electric rail car that made daily runs from Seattle to Everett from 1910 to 1939. The Water Tower and Alderwood Manor Heritage Cottage are the only surviving structures from the original Demonstration Farm built in 1917 by the Puget Mill Company. Demonstration Farm structures are open to the public and include heritage displays.

A Snohomish County Visitor Information Center is located in the Wickers
Building

a heritage resource center in the Alderwood Manor Heritage Cottage; a genealogical research center in the Humble House; and heritage agricultural displays in the Water Tower. Restored Interurban trolley car 55 is on display in a new shelter.

The cache is a small container, but large enough to hold trinkets such as key chains, coins, pencils, etc. Please be discreet when searching for this cache. As a new park, it is sure to have lots of traffic. There is NO NEED for ANY bushwhacking, cache easily reached from the grass. I repeat: You do NOT need to set a single foot off the grassy area. Please replace in same location, I would like to keep it (as much as possible), out of the direct rain.
