- In een vierkant stuk bos op landgoed Kernhem (ten noorden van Ede) ligt een uit 1735 daterende dwaaltuin. - In a square piece of forest on the estate Kernhem (North of Ede) is a wander garden dating back to the year 1735.
De cache (een nano container) is verstopt op het landgoed Kernhem. Voor een mooie wandeling over het landgoed kunt U het beste parkeren op de parkeerplaats van Huis Kernhem. Loc.: N52º03.190 E005º39.379 Hier zijn regelmatig exposities. Naast Huis Kernhem is een pannenkoekenhuis voor de hongerige geocacher. Aan de overkant van de weg is een vleermuizen reservaat. Er komen 7 verschillende soorten vleermuizen voor, waarvan de Rosse Vleermuis al sinds 1958 wordt bestudeerd. Een aantal soorten vleermuizen gebruikt de holle bomen om in te slapen of hun jongen in groot te brengen. Verder is de Doolhoflaan een belangrijke "vliegroute" tussen het landgoed en het Edese Bos. Met behulp van een natuurlijk sonarsysteem kunnen de vleermuizen zich in het donker oriënteren van, of op weg naar hun jachtgebied. Komt U per trein (Station Ede-Wageningen) dan kunt U per stadsbus (Lijn 5-richting Kernhem) in de buurt komen. Voor een korte snelle zoektocht kunt U ook parkeren langs de kant van de weg op: N52º03.184 E005º39.090 Kijk vooral ook eens naar boven. Regelmatig ziet U eekhoorntjes van boom tot boom springen. Om te kunnen loggen brengt U natuurlijk zelf een pen mee en een vriendelijk verzoek om de cache weer precies zo terug te plaatsen zoals U hem vindt. (met de magnetische achterkant tegen het metaal! .

The cache (a nano container) is hidden on the estate Kernhem. For a nice walk over the estate you can park at the parking lot of House Kernhem. Loc. N52º03.190 E5º39.379 You will find regular expositions there. Hungry after the search? Try a real Dutch “Pannenkoek” at the restaurant. At the other side of the road you will find a bat-reserve. 7 different kinds of bats live there, from which the Noctule bats have been studied since 1958. Some of the species use the hollow trees to sleep in and raise their offspring. Furthermore the “Doolhof lane” is an important “flying route” between the estate and the nearby forest called “Edese bos” With the aid of their natural sonar system the bats can take their bearings from, or on their way to the hunting grounds. If you come by train (Station Ede-Wageningen) you can take the bus (Line 5 - to Kernhem). If you want a short quick search you may also park at the side of the road at: N52º03.184 E5º39.090 Try to look up now and then. Often you will see squirrels jump from tree to tree. In order to write in the log bring your own pencil and you are kindly requested to return the cache in exactly the same place as you found it.
