Geocache Description:

The earth of this remote ridge in the middle of the Maridalen alps is rarely walked upon.

Look well, and you shall find a trail leading south to this little-visited area. The easiest approach is from the north. Chances are you will be the only visitor that week.
A sturdy moose is watching the cache, which is a military-style food container.
Following more than seven years of service, the cache underwent a full upgrade on November 8 2011. Content now includes camo carabiners, a CD, various pens and pencils, and a couple of Bernhardese fear chasers.

This cache is dedicated to Bernhard Herre (1812-1849), the first city dweller to explore these hills and write insightfully about them.
