Finally a chance for Waiheke-bound geocachers to momentarily slip away from their wine tasting and olive oil dipping to go bag a cache. A pleasant hike through native bush with cascade rewards at the end. Bring the grannies, the kiddies, but leave fido behind.Start at S36° 49.306, E175° 04.369 and follow the marked trail.
The cache is a clear tupperware container with a green lid.
Canopy cover is pretty thick and GPS coverage can be intermittent.
There is public parking within 25m of the starting point and a great beach that is a protected Dotterel reserve.
