Geocache Description:

You should park on Delaware but you can park on Harcourt or South Overlook. The best approach to this cache is from 41°29.699N, 081°35.755W. You will be walking on a trail to the cache.
Take a look at the oak trees on the south side of North Park Blvd. There are brass plaques at the base of each tree with the name of a World War One veteran. The trees were planted to honor these men. Be careful of traffic as the plaques are next to the street.
There were many freeways proposed in the 1960’s for the Cleveland area.
The name of this cache is the name of a freeway that was proposed to run right through here. The Clark Freeway was to run east/west and connect with the Lee Road freeway, I-271, and I-490. I-490 now ends at East 55th St. The Lee Road Freeway was to run north/south about one mile east of here. Try to imagine what this area would look like if both of these highways were here.
The creek you will be walking along side is Doan Brook. It runs through a pipe under University Circle and the Case University campus, then continues along Martin Luther King Blvd. to Lake Erie. Small dams upstream of here create the Shaker Lakes.
I do not know the city’s official position on dogs here, however, while setting this cache I saw several folks walking their dogs.
