stop and smell the roses 2 Multi-Cache
nobby.nobbs: I've given this lots of thought.
Due to the sensitive nature of the SSSI and the numerous logs of cachers who ignored the instructions to stay on the path and instead went cross country. I'm afraid it's going to be archived.
Thank you for everyone who visited responsibly.

this is located at martin down in hampshire a SSSI and NNR managed by english nature and hampshire county council. the cache has been placed with their kind permission. please take the time to visit the web site first to learn about their task and the site.be aware that there are many rare plants and animals at this location. whilst the views are lovely keep an eye on what you're standing on as it could be a nest or orchid!please also cache in trash out and help maintain the site.

the above co-ordinates take you to the main carpark off the A354. where you will find a map.
From the map you need some information.
number of tumuli=ab
miles to salisbury=c0
fit these into the following to find the cache.
N50.59.(a+b)a7 W1.57.(c+c)9(a+b)
This has been made easier to encourage more visitors. however, make a day of it with a picnic. walk to the main down area and enjoy the views and the flora and fauna.
check out a map of the area. more earthworks and roman roads etc than you would believe. leaflets are available at the car parks.
the clues will make the cache alot easier as the final cache is in the trees so reception varies.
please remember that if this cache goes well we could get national agreement with english nature so cito please and be extra aware of any impact we have on the site. enjoy. Can everyone please only do this on foot, there is a suggestion that a 4x4 was used by a geocacher. This will make the national agreement harder to get. Thanks
for clarification, this is a sssi and as such i would never suggest bushwhacking over or through the undergrowth. all the clues are easily accesible from the path and the cache is placed within 6ft of the path. so if you find yourself on a path with the gps saying a long way off through the trees.... you're on the wrong path!!
