"If you make more than one of something, someone will make a collection of them". This cache is dedicated to those who collect breweriana in general, and beer labels in particular.

|
This is a "drive by" cache in suburban Melbourne. When you visit, bring along a label of your favourite beer. Put some notes on the back about the flavour and style of the beer as well as your personal log entry. Add the label to the "Label/Log Archive". If you can't bring your own label, the cache contains a variety of beer labels from all States that you can use for your log entry. There is also a traditional log book, for teetotalers.

The Cache:
The cache is a round, 5-litre biscuit container, green in colour. The container itself is not camouflaged, but it is sitting in a hole in the ground and covered with leaf litter. It's located between two trees. If you place yourself between the trees and the fence, you should be partly concealed as you retrieve and replace it. Please take care to cover the cache completely before you leave, so that the gardeners won't discover it.
The initial contents are:
Emu
Book:Great Aussie Beers
Two beer label lapel pins
Swan Lager key ring
Pair of Duff Beer socks
Carlton MidStrength stubby holder
Pack of Eumundi Lager playing cards
Various goodies for younger geocachers
Several packets of assorted beer labels (of course)
Loredana's Tiger Travel Bug
Swaps that have something to do with breweriana are preferable, but not mandatory. Feel free to take the packets of beer labels (you won't find labels like those illustrated above). Let me know when the supply is getting low and I'll replenish it. If you are interested in seeing some historical Australian beer labels, visit the web site of the Victorian Beer Label Collectors' Society.
