Geocache Description:

This is the location of the Southern California Rocket Association launch site. Be sure to check out their web page to time your visit with a rocket launch for a little additional entertainment. http://home.earthlink.net/~mebowitz/scra2004.pdf

This cache is a sandwich sized plastic container hidden in the outfield of the Santa Fe Damn rocket launch area. Walk along the dirt road behind the launch area (vehicles are not permitted) and you should have no trouble finding the cache location. As usual, please be careful while seeking this cache. In addition to people occasionally searching the outfield for lost rockets, rattlesnakes have been found in this area. Please note, if you want to drive in, you can access this park from Arrow Hwy, however it costs $6 per vehicle. Another option is to park outside and walk or bike in. This will save you the $6 and gives you two more entry options (the bike path that runs along the 605 freeway travels through this park). Good luck and we hope you enjoy our first cache.
