This cache is located near the Eternal Flame in Chestnut Ridge
Park. Here you will find a fiery flame encased in a beautiful
cascading waterfall.
To get to the area follow the trail marked with Blue wooden
blocks, there are other ways in, DO NOT USE THEM!!!! Every year
some dumb person tries to climb the side of the falls and gets hurt
here, STAY OFF THE CLIFF WALLS, they are loose shale and clay mud
and are extremely slippery.
The Blue trail is well marked and of moderate to steep terrain,
you will need to cross the water at a couple points along the trail
so bring along a change of footwear. Every time I've been to the
falls themselves the flame has been lit, however you might want to
take a lighter along just in case, if the flame is out simply
relight the indented area right next to the falls, it truly is a
wonderful natural oddity.
This cache is located in an extremely muggle rich. Please be
VERY careful not to be observed and twice as careful to hide the
cache as well as you found it if not better! Additionally,
please practice CITO to preserve this amazing area for all that
come to enjoy it.
