Als Startplatz bietet sich das „Waldcafe Harrer“ in Kapfenberg an. Dort kann man ungestört das Auto oder Bike am Schotterparkplatz (N 47° 26.509’ / E 15° 18.079’) abstellen.
Für diese Rundwanderung benötigst du zwischen 2.5 und 3.5 Stunden. Empfiehlt sich als Sonntagnachmittagswanderung mit Einkehr auf der Burg Oberkapfenberg.
WICHTIG: Nimm ein Maßband mit!
Weg zu Rätsel 1:
Entlang der Asphaltstraße welche auf die Burg Oberkapfenberg führt, geht man bis zu den Koordinaten N 47° 26.242’ / E 15° 17.981’. Rechter Hand über die steile Wiese hinauf, vorbei an einem Hochsitz, kreuzt man die Asphaltstraße um durch eine kurze gerodete Waldpassage eine Schotterstraße zu erreichen.
Dieser folgt man, natürlich bergauf für ungefähr 10 Minuten. Man erreicht eine scharfe 180° Rechtskurve. In dieser hält man sich links entlang des schmalen Waldweges zur Position N 47° 25.946’ / E 15° 18.383’. Weiter entlang auf dem schmalen, markierten Waldpfad, vorbei an einer Gedenkstätte auf die nächste Schotterstraße. Dieser folgt man für weitere 10 Minuten in Richtung Koordinaten N 47° 25.843’ / E 15° 18.822’ und trifft auf ein kleines religiöses Objekt, umgeben von einem Zaun.
Am unteren Ende des rechten Zaunpfostens findest du Rätsel 1 in einem kleinen Plastikzylinder.
Weg zu Rätsel 2:
Nimm den SELBEN Weg zurück. Bei den Koordinaten von Rätsel 2 wirst du rechts von dir auf ein Holzgeländer treffen. Links hinter dir befindet sich oben ein Baumstumpf, der die Filmdose und Rätsel 2 verbirgt.
Weg zu Rätsel 3:
Sobald du das zweite Rätsel gelöst hast, findest du dich auf einer Asphaltstraße wieder in Richtung Burg. Umrunde das nach den Koordinaten gefundene Gebäude entlang seiner Mauern und du siehst einen alten Eisenbahnschweller mit zwei Metallpfosten unter dem Holzgeländer.

Weg zum Cache:
Hast du auch das letzte Rätsel gelöst, steht dir der Weg zum Cache offen. Umwandere durch den Wald die Burg Richtung talwärts (Weg beginnt bei N 47°26.376` E 015°17.638`). Triffst du auf einen gefallenen Baum, dessen Wurzeln einen "Krater" gebildet haben, sieh Dich um. (Achtung! GPS arbeitet nicht exakt. Zu viele Bäume!)
Weg zurück zum Parkplatz:
Wandere weiter talwärts und der Weg endet in einem kleinen Park. Nimm die Straße durch die Au entlang, vorbei an der HTL-Kapfenberg und du landest direkt wieder am Parkplatz wo du gestartet bist.

For this round migration you need between 2.5 and 3.5 hours.

Way to the riddle 1:
Along the bitumen route which is the way to castle Oberkapfenberg, go up to the coordinates N 47° 26.242' / E 15° 17,981'. Right hand over the steep meadow up you will cross the bitumen road to a short root out-wood passage. Then you will reach a crushed stone route. Follow these, naturally uphill for approximately 10 minutes. You will reach a sharp 180° right curve. In this one hold your self left along the narrow forest path to position N 47° 25.946' / E 15° 18,383'.
Further along on the narrow, signed forest path, to a memorial place and up to the next crushed stone route. Follows these for further 10 minutes to coordinates N 47° 25.844' / E 15° 18,819' and meet a small religious object, surrounded by a fence.
At the lower end of the right fence post you’ll find riddle 1 in a small corrosion free cylinder.
Way to riddle 2:
Take the SAME way back. With the coordinates of riddle 2 you will meet right from you a wood railing.
Way to riddle 3:
If you should have solved the second riddle, you’re on a bitumen route, with direction to the castle. Orbit the building which you have found according the coordinates and you’ll see an old wood post from the railway with two metal posts under a wood railing.
See under this railway post and you have riddle 3 in your hands.
Way to the cache:
Even if you solved the last riddle, the way to the cache is open to you. Walk around the castle in the forest, direction downward. If you meet a fallen tree, which crosses the way, take a look around. (Attention: GPS doesn’t work exactly. Too much trees!)
Way back to the parking area:
Move further downwards and the way ends in a small park. Take the direction along the wood street and you’ll land at the parking area where you’re started.
