Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden in an often over-looked, wooded area literally in the middle of the city.

Please park on the main street to the north of the woods. Approach the cache from that direction and avoid the private property surrounding the woods. Thank you.

As a boy we would often ride our bikes to this “forest”. We would play for hours and look out from the trees at the views of the (then) open fields and tower in the distance. Needless to say the open fields are no more and the views from the woods have changed a great deal. However, the woods itself has changed little.The cache is a piece of painted PVC pipe, containing a pencil and log. Originally it also contained some small trinkets for trading. The terrain is fairly flat. However, the paths cross and have low spots that can result in standing water and muddy spots, which add to the challenge a little. Sometimes more than clouds obscure the sky!
