Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the coordinates above.
Solve the puzzle below to determine the cache coordinates.

The cache is located in a busy urban area. It is named "Morning on Market" because we strongly recommend searching for it in the morning hours, before the sidewalks get heavy with foot traffic.

Four fabulous friends are going out dancing in the Castro 'til well into the wee hours. They each wear a different colored gown, leave home from a different street, and dance a different number of dances.

The friends are: Carmen, Drusilla, Latisha, and Wanda
The gown colors are: Glittery Silver, Hot Pink, Lavender, and Rainbow
The streets are: Castro, Dolores, Noe, and Sanchez
The number of dances are: 2, 3, 4 and 7

  • Latisha dances more dances than her friend in the rainbow gown, but fewer dances than her friend who lives on Noe.
  • Carmen lives on the easternmost street.
  • The woman who dances the fewest dances thinks “The more colors, the better!”
  • The lady in the lavender dress dances the most dances.
  • Drusilla dances fewer dances than her Noe neighbor.
  • The Pink Lady dances twice as many dances as the Sanchez strutter.
  • The glitter-bug jitterbug does not live on Castro street.

The coordinates are N 37° 45.ABC W 122° 26.DEF, where:

A = Number of dances danced by the nimblefooted Noe nellie
B = 3x the number of dances danced by the woman in the glittery silver gown
C = (Sum of Drusilla and Carmen’s dances) minus (Number of Latisha’s dances)
D = (Sum of Latisha and Carmen’s Dances) minus (Number of Wanda’s dances)
E = Number of dances danced by the damsel in lavender
F = Number of letters in the name of the Castro Casanova

You are looking for a black magnetic key container, about 3" by 4" by 1". Tiny trade items are welcome, and you'll need to bring your own pen.

You don't need to set foot off the sidewalk to find this one... so please don't go into any of the stores or up any of the storefront stairs. Thank you!
