Geocache Description:

This micro is a 'mini M&M' container. Please! Do not try to pull out the entire container. Just open the lid to get the log. Cache is just barely wheelchair accessible depending upon the width of your wheelchair and how well you can negotiate loose gravel.

I've never had much luck with caboose caches, so... I know. I'm hopeless.

This cache container came from a former 'seed' cache placed by Turtle3863. While on my way to retrieve this 'hatchling' from it's nest, I stumbled across "My Old Kentucky Dinner Train" right off of US highway 31E, or North 3rd Street in Bardstown, KY. In the lot for the dinner train is this sidetracked caboose. After a brief conversation with the young lady in the reservation office, I got the green light to hide this cache. Be aware that school groups come out here, so you may be knee deep in munchkins.

I would like anyone searching for this cache to let the folks here know why you're here. Let's send a positive message to Bardstown's residents about Geocaching. Hopefully, there will soon be many more caches in Bardstown to enjoy. The area is chock full of history. I only wish I had more time to wander around down there.

From the brochure: "Step back and return for awhile to another time, when life was slower and travel was by rail. An era when elegant dining cars offered a place to enjoy relaxed conversation, fine cuisine and gracious service against a backdrop of ever changing scenery. Board My Old Kentucky Dinner Train and experience for yourself that wonderful bygone era."

Enjoy, and many thanks to the Turtle for the 'hatchery'. I've recently been introduced to some of the finer bourbons produced in the area, so thanks also to Bardstown for the Bourbon!
