Geocache Description:

A nice hike of less than .4 mile on Long Branch Trail with more caches concealed along the way.

Directions:From the intersection of Hwy 64 and Hwy 276 in Pisgah Forest, drive north on Hwy 276 for 5.2 miles, then turn left onto Forest Service Road 475. When the road turns to dirt drive approximately 4.3 miles and you will see a parking area on the left side of the road. To the left of the parking area you will see a gate and trail sign for the Long Branch trail. Parking coordinates N 35 16.400 W082 50.522

Tracy said we need to use camouflage and make our caches more challenging. Hmmmm... IT'S Camouflaged.

The cache is a 3½ inch high by 2½ wide container filled with small exchangeable items. Bring a pen or pencil to sign the home made log.

The cache is well concealed in what is left of a small multi-trunk tree about 12 feet off the trail. We have provided images to help in your search.

Please remember that animals have a much keener sense of smell than we humans. Please do not place food, candy, gum, or any other scented items such as soaps, candles or "wipes" in the cache, as animals often mistake these items as food, and will destroy the cache container trying to get to it. Also, please hide the cache container so it is not visible, so that other geocachers may enjoy the hunt. - Thanks
