Geocache Description:

A hike of less than .6 mile one way with more caches hidden along the way.

Directions:From the intersection of Hwy 64 and Hwy 276 in Pisgah Forest, drive north on Hwy 276 for 5.2 miles, then turn left onto Forest Service Road 475. When the road turns to dirt drive approximately 4.3 miles and you will see a parking area on the left side of the road. Long Branch trailhead is directly behind the parking area. Long Branch parking coordinates N35 16.400 W082 50.522

If you stop and rest at this point of the trail you may be sitting above the cache.

The cache is a 3 inch high by 2½ wide camouflaged container filled with small exchangeable items. Bring a pen or pencil to sign the home made log.

Please remember that animals have a much keener sense of smell than we humans. Please do not place food, candy, gum, or any other scented items such as soaps, candles or "wipes" in the cache, as animals often mistake these items as food, and will destroy the cache container trying to get to it. Also, please hide the cache container so it is not visible, so that other geocachers may enjoy the hunt. - Thanks
