Het
vlakke land 1 : Tussen Zee en Polder
De caches van
Het Vlakke land zijn gewoon een aantal traditionele caches gelegd
in een cirkel rond Blankenberge, te midden van de polders, moeren,
… kortom het achterland van de kuststrook. Er zijn er vijf in
aantal en bestaan uit een glazen pot ( van 500gr. Choco ) met
logboekje en potlood. Er is weinig plaats voor goodies, ook Travel
Bugs zijn best klein van formaat. Ze zijn alle vlot bereikbaar met
de (gewone) fiets, alhoewel ‘tubes’ hier wel zouden kunnen afzien.
Alle caches in 1 trek doen levert een prachtige fietstocht op. Aan
bevolen volgorde : 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 ( of omgekeerd, instappunt is
vrij te kiezen ). U kan bvb. starten vanaf het station in
Blankenberge. Fietsen kan u daar huren of in de stad
zelf.
Het uitzicht vanaf het eerste punt is bij mooi weer prachtig. Aan
de ene kant de zee, aan de andere kant de polders die het
uitgangspunt vormen voor de caches ‘Het vlakke land’. Tel het
aantal vertikale spijlen van de leuningen ( = x ). De cache ligt op
180° ( ware noorden ) en 2600 / x meter
The lowlands 1 : Between sea and lowlands
The caches are just a
number of traditional caches laid in the surroundings of
Blankenberge, in the middle of lowlands, just behind the coast.
There are five of them and they consist of a jar with logbook and
pencil. There is not many room for goodies and travel bugs are
better small . They are reachable by ( ordinary ) bike ( race bikes
can have small difficulties ). If You plan to do them all at once
You make a beautiful trip ! Order : 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 are reverse,
starting point is free to choose. When starting from Blankenberge,
You can hire a bike at the railway station or in the
city.
The view from the first point is marvellous when the weather is
fine. The sea at one side, the polders ( = lowlands ) at the other
side. Those are the central theme of the caches ‘Het vlakke land’.
Count the number of vertical bars at the fence ( = x ) The cache is
at 180° (real north ) and 2600 / x meter.
