Geocache Description:

Single stage geocache a short walk off of the Arizona Trail as it crosses Molino Basin.

Park at the Molino Basin parking lot on Catalina State Highway. Cross the road at the crosswalk. Follow the Arizona Trail until it crosses the creek then turn and go up the creek. Creek bed is mostly made up of granite but if you look hard enough you can find some quartzite. We even found a large piece of reddish quartzite. Most of the Aspen and Bullock fires did not reach this area but there are still small patches burned here and there. Be careful climbing the hill to the cache, the bear grass that was on this hillside is burnt down and what remains in very reminiscent of the tops of pineapples and just as stickery. Elevation is 4450 feet here.
