Named after the nearby South Sandy Creek, this regular cache is located in the Oakmulgee section of the Talladega National Forest in West Alabama. It's not a difficult or long hike but there are scores of ticks and biting creatures. It might be a good idea to wear orange if you're out here during hunting season as the NF allows hunting.
