We visited the cache site on September 10th 2020 and replaced the cache after reports of it having gone AWOL A number of possible routes up to this cache. It's up to you which one you pick. You will need OSI Sheet 16 Map and as with all mountain caches we recommend that you are competent with a map and compass, carry the required equipment for a day in the mountains, dress appropriately, give yourself enough time in order not to get benighted and check the weather forecast in advance.
The cache is in a medium sized food container. This cache is part 5 of "the Benbulbin Whistle Stop Tour" of which there are five stops. The tour is approximately 12km long, one way. The caches have been laid by ourselves, Spy Caleb & and Buddha Belly. We suggest that you park and start at the Glencar Waterfall car-park which is in Grid Square G76 43 which is on OSI Sheet 16 and finish below Benbulbin at G698 473. Obviously this will require two cars unless your super fit and are willing to traverse the whole way back to the start. If following this route the caches may be picked up in this order.
