This little park on the banks of the Nisqually River is adjacent to the Centralia Canal Powerhouse. Water is diverted from the Nisqually River about 9 miles upstream and runs along the upper bench where it drops several hundred feet to generate about 10MW of power.
The park is open to the public, but is only open from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm. You can leave at any time as gates open automatially for those leaving thepark.
To get to the cache, turn east off of Highway 510 at these coordinates:
N 46° 58.122 W 122° 38.306
Follow signs for the powerhouse and boat ramp and you'll find yourself at the parking area. The cache is only about 200 feet away and is quite easy to find.
Dogs allowed on leash only. Have fun and enjoy a walk along the river.
