This little park on the banks of the Nisqually River is adjacent to the Centralia Canal Powerhouse. Water is diverted from the Nisqually River about 9 miles upstream and runs along the upper bench where it drops several hundred feet to generate about 10MW of power.
The park is open to the public, but entrance is only from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm. If you are still inside the park after 5 pm, you can still leave as gates open automatially for those leaving the park after hours.
At the given coordinates for leaving Hwy 510, follow signs for the powerhouse and boat ramp, and go down the hill to the parking area. The cache is only about 200 feet away.
Dogs allowed on leash only. Have fun and enjoy a walk along the river.
