This cache is one of several that are hidden along the upper
section of the Western Md. Rail Trail. For hikers this is a long
trek. The caches are much more manageable on bike or on roller
blades. The caches were placed when the greening of Spring was
complete and the cicadas were loudly proclaiming their once every
17-years summer of music and love.
Nearby is a historical marker that proclaims the areas prowess
as a major eastern apple producing region back in the day.
Read the history, imagine a rail siding to your front and left;
remnants of the concrete platform and shed foundations can still be
seem.
The cache contains, a pencil, log, gc.com identifier, sidewalk
chalk, an FTF button and several other items I can’t recall.
This cache is the launching point for the TB “Alas, Poor
Yoric.”
NOTE: This cache was formerly an offset. The cache can found
at the posted coordinates. Thank You.
