This cache has been archived.

SgtSue: RIP - Time to put this cache to rest. Think it has served the public well, with 6 years of service and 400+ finds. Checked on it today and the container has been stolen. Thanks to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

Since 1978 Coach Mark Berson and his team has “buried” many an opponent at this field originally named “The Graveyard” due to it’s close proximity to a small cemetery. When muggles are out in numbers, join in on the fun and cheer for the home team.

Ok, I don’t know what to say that won’t spoil the hunt for any of you except that this cache is NOT in the nearby cemetery. People are concerned you might get confused and accidentally walk into the nearby cemetery despite the fact it is lock 99% of the time.

They are afraid that by walking in the cemetery you might offend someone who does not seem to mind the 5000 fans cheering on their Gamecocks or the occasional soccer ball that has left the field (a.k.a. “The Graveyard”) and entered the nearby cemetery during the countless games and practice held there since 1978.

So have fun hunting for this cache. Keep the Gamecock spirit in mind when you do and leave all the other spirits to themselves.

Now on to the cache.

PLEASE INSURE LID IS SECURE TO PREVENT WATER LEAKAGE. THANKS AND ENJOY THE HUNT!

Note: Despite the name there is no digging involved, this is just a reverence to an old team slogan.

Another Note: This cache is not in the nearby cemetery.
