This cache has been archived.

Gargoyle: Well this cache has been open long enough. I am surprised that 17 people are still watching it. I will be using this cache to list fake travelbugs as missing.

Geocache Description:

SEPAG is having another event... so prepare yourselves!

PLACE: Central Park, Doylestown, PA Click HERE for great directions. The above coordinates are for the pavillion that has been secured for the 31st. Parking it close by: N40° 17.165 W075° 08.262.

DATE: July 31st 2004

WHAT: A picnic to celebrate the summer and for geocachers to gather for some fun and excitement.

FOOD: Once again we think that it is a good idea for people to be responsible for bringing food for themselves and their teams. People are most welcome to bring food to share with other if they want to but it is not required. Since we are officially meeting between 1230pm and 100pm then people can chow down whenever they feel like it. (at the last event we all started eating not too long after we gathered)

We will be hiding a special cache along with several micros. We will have some surprises as well as some prizes. Also be sure to bring along your travelbugs for our Bug Trade... you can drop them in this event as you would drop them into a cache.

All geocachers, no matter where you live, are welcome to spend the day with us. Also bring your families as Kid's Castle is not to be missed.

July 13th Update: I have been holding off on mentioning this due to it not being something I can control. I checked with the Central Park office and so far no one else is renting that day... however... the earliest we can start moving into the pavilion is 12:30pm (officially we have the pavilion from 100pm till 400pm). So if people get there earlier then 1230pm then sit tight.

July 23th Update: The Geogoyle TB is being given to the person or team that has traveled the furthest for this picnic. So please waypoint your home coords as they will be recorded by the Caching Nuts as you arrive on Saturday.

Also... This picnic is happening no matter what kind of day Mother Nature decides to deal us. Be prepared for whatever weather we may have.

July 26th Update:I was informed by Al from the Cache On!Team that the link for directions to the park was not working. I fixed the problem. Also those of you who are hiding caches for this event... PLEASE DO NOT HIDE ANY CACHES IN OR UNDER OR NEAR THE ENCLOSED CASTLE AREA!.

July 31st Update: Just so everyone knows... I will be collecting a buck or two from each adult (but not children) to cover the cost of the pavilion. If I collect more then I have spent then I will put it towards the next event. I didn't mean for that to rhyme. Also... if you find the park but can't find the pavilion... we will have walkietalkies on and tuned to channel 2. See You All Tomorrow!
