Geocache Description:


The cache is located within an 800-acre tract of forested land that a certain Metro Atlanta county acquired with state and federal matching funds for parkland purposes in 2003. There are no facilities or even established hiking trails on the property yet. Access is currently available through Riverwalk Subdivision. Please refer to my posted log dated 09/16/13. The river corridor is scenic with areas of thick mountain laurel and old growth oaks and pine. A nice set of shoals and a small island are located less than one-quarter of a mile upstream from the cache site. The cache is a 30 caliber ammo box.
