This cache is located near the banks of Lake Pippin. Enjoy a nice 1.15 mile hike or bike to the cache and a nice view and resting spot near the cache site.
Park off Hwy 20 in Seminole just past the Chelco building. Two entry points exist N30 28.214 W86 23.924 off Hwy 20 or alongside the construction at N30 28.180 W86 24.261. This cache is located in the a recreation area of the Eglin reservation. Rated 3 for terrain for length of hike and possible flooding during heavy rain. The cache is in a plastic container wrapped with camoflaged tape. It blends in well with it's surroundings. Please try and leave it as you found it. During times of heavy rain the path may be flooded. Once near the cache enjoy the view of Lake Pippin and a rest on the fallen log nearby.
Original Cache contents were 2 screwdrivers, a rain poncho, a mini clamp, a medium size caribiner key chain, a mini tape measure key chain, and a compass with lanyard.
You must have a permit granting you legal access to the Eglin AFB reservation. For a mere $12 you get an outstanding map and a year-long Recreational Permit.
