This cache is hidden near the old Coloma Jailhouse.
It is a black water resistant contaner with a black cord.
The contaner is the type used by rafters to keep things (like a wallet) dry.
It is what I would call a mini-cache if a film can is a micro-cache.
I would like this to be a coin & lapel pin exchange cache.
I have placed some Norweigian & Indian coins and a couple of state quarters to start the cache.
The log book is small, so please keep your entries to date and name and put the details into your online log.
This area can get busy so be discreet retreiving and replacing the cache.
Now there are times when the Park has events and sets up things (such as vendor booths) near this cache. You should be able to figure out where the cache is with out actually pulling it out and revealing it to the geo-muggles in the area.
If this is the case when you come to look for this cache, I offer you a virtual option for this cache.
Send me an email explaining why you could not retreive the cache and describe where it is hidden.
I don't want someone to come here looking for the cache and to get a DNF becuase they picked a day of an event, which might be one of the reasons they came here in the first place. I also don't what to get an email saying they could not retreive the cache because there was someone walking their dog in the area when you were there. If you can reasonably wait out the muggle, you should.

A free map of the trails in the park is available at the desk in the Park Museum. There is also a parking fee.
